Ubisoft RedLynx cuts 60 jobs to focus on small screens

Ubisoft RedLynx plans to eliminate 60 positions at its Helsinki facility as the Finnish studio refocuses operations toward mobile platforms and handheld devices. The Trials Rising developer announced a restructuring proposal as part of broader cost reduction efforts across the company's global network. Production and administration teams face the most significant impact from the proposed cuts, though developers working with the Snowdrop Engine appear exempt from the changes.

The studio will transition from multiplatform development to specializing in small-screen gaming, particularly after supporting Massive Entertainment's port of Star Wars Outlaws to Nintendo Switch 2. RedLynx currently leads two unannounced mobile projects that align with the new strategic direction. The independent studio joined Ubisoft in 2011 following the success of its motorcycle stunt franchise.
