A significant event took place yesterday morning in the Yangon Region as Myanmar moved forward with the Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge project. Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing led the ceremony, using a controller to lay concrete and connect the bridge's parts.
Also present were key figures like Commission Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers, and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein. Following the concrete laying, the Acting President presented fruit baskets to the engineers involved in the project.
The Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge, a steel cable-stayed structure, spans over 6,000 feet and will improve connectivity between Yangon and nearby regions, easing traffic and boosting economic growth. Despite delays due to COVID-19, the project is set to enhance transport, education, and healthcare, becoming a landmark for the city.
