Bandai Namco confirmed multiple remaster projects for its Tales role-playing game franchise while providing updates on the series' next mainline installment. Producer Yusuke Tomizawa told Famitsu that two remastered titles remain under development, with one nearing completion and details arriving soon. Tales of Xillia 2 remaster continues production, though Tomizawa offered no release timeline for the updated version.
The next original Tales entry remains far from announcement despite active development. Tomizawa noted the extended gap since Tales of Arise launched in 2021 represents a departure from previous console generations when Bandai Namco released Japanese entries in rapid succession. Western markets account for more than 70 percent of the series audience, a shift from earlier decades when North American and European releases lagged behind Japanese launches or never materialized.
