A former youth leader from Bihar's Rashtriya Janata Dal said wealthy backers pushed grassroots members aside before he joined a rival party. Prem Kumar Yadav left the organization and accepted a nomination from Janshakti Janata Dal to challenge Tejashwi Yadav in the Raghopur assembly race. The candidate told reporters on Wednesday that money and armed supporters control access to senior officials.
Yadav said ordinary volunteers cannot reach party leaders because powerful outsiders and supporters block their path. He recalled how founder Lalu Yadav kept open communication with citizens at all hours. The politician urged peaceful campaigning and free movement for all competitors across constituencies. Tej Pratap Yadav filed papers for a different district seat while carrying a photograph of his grandmother.
